The amount of unreported suicides in Niagara Falls is based on the need to still attract tourists to the area. As the casinos in Clifton Hills generate millions of dollars annually, they simply cannot risk the public knowing the horror that has actually been transpiring on the Niagara river. The area that tourists can easily walk to is only about 10 to 15 ft away from the actual Falls themself. This is make the leap very accessible. Especially for somebody determined to end their own life.
