Thesis

Different forms of social idolization will influence how we interact with one another. This will ultimately affect how we generate income, and choose to indoctrinate other youth towards a path that is more beneficial for a group mentality.

 


1. Housing Speculation

This is the act of purchasing a large amount of property at once using large companies, or groups of individuals. This causes the housing market rate to rise, and was an illegal practice in the mid to late 90's. But like lots of large scale fraud activity, the government either chooses to ignore it or it is simply too hard or too much trouble for them to stop. It is usually done as an organized strategic plan, that is conducted by multiple individuals at once. It comes in many forms, but in this case I'm going to be describing a very specific situation that occurred in St Catherine's, Ontario, Canada.

This is only one example of the companies that participate in this detrimental behavior. They can afford to hire people to stand in line for them, and they also have a strong understanding of how to correctly litigate property on a large scale. They also have financial clouds, meaning that they can protect themselves from any form of legal repercussions, which usually do not happen.

This involves over 50 groups, organizations and individuals meeting at various times during the night, day and early morning. This could be at 6:00 a.m., then again at 9:00 a.m., then again at 12:00 p.m., then at 4:00 p.m., then again at 8:00 p.m. the next meeting time will be at 11:00 p.m. afterwards, it will restart again at 3:00 a.m. this will go on for about a week while the real estate agents and individuals representing the companies will sleep in their cars. Some of which have rented motels, and will drive back and forth to take naps. Other people will simply sit there and camp out. This is a form of bidding, because every single person who is not present when the roll call is announced at the allotted time frame, they will be removed from the running and eliminated. 

 

This is a competition format style of home bidding. It allows the people who have waited in line first to have access to making an offer on the property beforehand. This is organized by the property construction team, or incorporation.


2. Underlined Causes 

There are many different reasons why this practice is going overlooked. The primary one is the country's desire to import as many newcomers as possible to gain more tax dollars to support the aging generation, and the healthcare system. The need for more people means the need for more homes, but in some cases the way that certain individuals are used to living, may not reflect with foreign living standards.

Foreign investment opportunities, legal mandate changes and a social requirement for an influx of newcomers to the environment. All of these combined mitigating factors have made changes to the way that homes are bought and sold that would not be legal in the past. Some of each of these changes were also not possible based on other laws and statues. Now that the rental limitations have been removed, and there is more demand for foreign labor, there are also more opportunities for activities such as housing speculation to take place.


4. Fraud, Legal Loop Holes and Government Support Initiatives 

In conjunction with the removal of rental and housing pricing restrictions, there are several different government support programs and initiatives that will provide the necessary finances to pay for specific members of the public to rent homes. More and more opportunities are born, and more people are going to find ways to profit from this.
